Pavo, static template builder for Python

Pavo is a simple, static site generator that is written in Python.
The core principle behind Pavo
The main idea behind Pavo is that it should help you create a good website without much hassle. In general, this means that:
- It should be plug-and-play: download it and it works
- Its primary focus is your content
- It optimizes for search engines
- It can be extended with third party plugins
- It is stable, now and in the future
Advantages of using Pavo
Our main purpose is to make sure you have killer content on a great website, without the hassle of an advanced CMS and/or unreliable database connections. Pavo generates a static site with the press of a button and even helps you deploy it to (S)FTP. Update your site and run a simple command and your website has been updated.
Plugin support
Anybody with basic knowledge of Python can extend Pavo. There will be documentation to explain step by step how to create your own plugin.
Always optimized for search engines
Any website that is generated with Pavo is automatically optimized for search engines. This has multiple reasons:
- Static websites generally have amazing loading times - meaning that they are not punished for page speed
- A simple markup structure allows you to define SEO titles, descriptions and images on a page-to-page basis
